Presuppositionalism

Presuppositionalism may be defined as insistence on an ultimate category of thought or a conceptual framework which one must assume in order to make a sensible interpretation of reality:

Once upon a time, there was a boy.  His name was Presuppositionalism.  He went to a really fun school where there was a huge, glorious playground.  He loved recess, when he could go outside and run, and swing, and slide, and climb, and everything a young boy could dream of.  He had a friend who lived next door to him.  His friend went to a different school.  His school had a tetherball pole, with no ball.  That was it.

One day, Presuppositionalism and his friend, Tom, got into a huge argument over whether or not recess was the coolest part of the day.  Tom thought recess was boring, and preferred gym class.  Presup just could not understand why someone would rather go to gym class than recess.

They never quite saw eye to eye.  And that was sad.
