Proverbs 20:14
When I use my debit card at places like HyVee, the little card swiper machine always goes through the same routine questions.
Debit, credit card...etc.?
Cash back?
Amount OK?
Just once, I want to say, no, the amount is not okay.
$3.41 Amount okay?
No? I'll give you $1.50.
Sorry, $3.00 is the lowest I'll go.
Fine, these granola bars are pretty good, I'll give you $2.50, and that's my final offer.
Sold! Bag those granola bars!
Wouldn't that be great? I asked the guy at HyVee about this the other night, he said it just cancels out the transaction. How unfortunate. But comforting at the same time. Now I don't have to bum about all those great bargains I've been missing out on.

I was at Subway a few weeks ago grabbing some food for me and Mike and I thought $10 would be enough to cover it. When the girl rang it up though, I was short about 50 cents. So I decided Mike and I could share a drink and i told her to take off one of the sodas. But the girl just said "Don't worry about it I got it covered." And some how she proceeded to reduce the price of my meal by about a dollar. I was so excited I successfully bartered at Subway! (although that really wasn't my original intent, and it was probably not allowed for her to do that!) (Comment this)
That is amazing! I'm going to work on my bartering skills now. (Comment this)
